Application Types

Although each project has its own unique requirements, we've categorised common solutions below.

• Content Management System – allows you to take control of site content. You can add or update pages directly from your browser. You do not need any knowledge about HTML or creating websites. Because you only update content any changes you make keeps the same 'look and feel' and you cannot break the standards the website was designed to.
• Search Engine – allows a customer to browse and search an online database of items. This could be anything from art gallery pictures to job vacancies.
  
• Data Collection – allows customers to fill in request forms or surveys within a site. The results can be stored in a database and exported as a spreadsheet or just sent to a specific email address.
• Helpdesk – allows customers to raise help calls against a particular asset and then track the resolution process against them.
  
• Reporting System – shows management information from a data warehouse or other source. This can be in a graphical form, on screen or as downloadable files.
• e-Commerce - displays a product database which can be updated from the site or imported from another system via a spreadsheet or some other file format. Customers can browse or search for items, add them to a shopping cart and then purchase the items.
